The “lazy artist” stereotype needs to end!

Even today, unfortunately, many people still believe that being an artist is synonymous with laziness — that it’s someone who doesn’t want anything from life, living in a world of fantasy and poetic illusions.
This idea probably comes from the way artists are portrayed in the media: always as carefree, bohemian, “drugged-out” figures living in constant chaos. But that’s far from the reality for most artists.
Yes, some artists might live that way — and that’s fine, everyone lives as they choose. But to generalize that behavior to an entire group is a serious mistake.
Many artists are, above all, workers. People who dedicate their lives to art — whether it’s painting, drawing, writing, music... People who want to make a living from their talent but face endless challenges. They work hard on personal projects, produce constantly, and still barely get commissions, orders, or even recognition.
There are artists who go years without selling a single piece. Who cry out, almost in despair:"Hey! I want work!"
But I want to share something I’ve learned — it’s not a magic formula to get rich overnight, and it may not make you rich at all. But it is a possible path: the path of the entrepreneurial artist.(That’s a topic for another post.)
For now, here’s my message:
Artists are workers, yes! Art is work, yes! And art is everywhere — even in the design of a toilet!
